I haven’t had any issues with rust. This fluid is for diamond stones but doesn’t hurt any nearby grit stones. I had another product, well-known, “Gold”, you mix it with water, but I was shocked to see it now has chemicals and health warnings, such as “requires adequate ventilation” – does that mean sharpen outside???? This MPower product has none of that. You’re going to get it on your hands. So the chemical make up is important!

The nozzle had a very wide spray that meant I was soaking everything around my sharpening stone instead of focusing on the stone. In less than a day the nozzle stopped working at all. I replaced it with the nozzle from the tiny bottle that came with the mpower sharpening system and that worked very well. Now I’m in a good place.
